In the Mountains

Anyone who knows me knows that it doesn’t take me long to do what I said I wanted to do… So why are we still here in Toronto.

Well, my mother Angela decided to come with us and because of that we are needing more space to take more things. So the idea came up of getting a SUV. Which I of course said no to because it is a killer for gas, but maybe a van. So my mom called her friend to see if he knew where we could get a good price on a van. No with the van there is some issues. It used to have a hitch but someone ripped it out in stead of unscrewing it. So the poor U-haul guy had some trouble getting a new one in. The tires need to be replaced. The van put us in the whole a bit… which I never suggest, avoid debt at all times. It is leaking some substance not sure if it is oil or water, but got to get it checked. Now we need insurance on the van as well. The insurance is going to take a few days to get here. So there another wait. I have never bought a car, but have mercy what trouble. Pay taxes, fill out a form, buy papers, new license plates, registration….. Wow! I am determined to walk where we go. If we live in the town for a while, get my stamina up to living in the mountains.

I can’t wait to get out of here. I really do not want to miss growing season. In thinking of the trip we are looking at 5-7 days driving because of towing the car we can’t go that fast. Then one day stopping for Sabbath. Then we are going to visit my husband Jonah’s sister in Calgary.

I am still going to put up some stuff for sale. Give me another day or two.
Estimated time of leaving…… ??? Still ASAP!!!

This should also be a warning to those considering a move. You should start preparing… it is better to be rady to go and looking for a place to go than to have a place and have obstacles be in your way. Some I know what to leave but it will take time to actually get out of the city. So start early. Leave early if possible because gas prices are still rising.
