My Journey

We left…

It took us 6 hours to pack everything in the vehicles. We worked from about 4 pm -10 pm and left and drove to Barrie. This was Sunday. We figured it was better to get out of the downtown area and travel the next morning instead of try to fight traffic in the morning. It took us almost 2 hours to get to Barrie. Samantha and Lonnie, our friends, had so wonderfully prepared us beds in their living room to sleep on.

On the way to Barrie, we had the van, dollied with the car, and our friend Anton had a Fore Runner dollied with his car. Oh yeah, Anton decided to move to with us. He has been invaluable to help us transport our things to the West Coast. The van was having a hard time taking the car. It was all over the road, Jonah decided we may not be able to take it with us. Which he is very sad about because the car has been very good to him. The next morning our friend’s co-worker asked to buy it from us; we made a deal, filled out the needed forms, and left it in the parking lot.

All this took some time so we didn’t leave Barrie until about 4 pm. That was the beginning of the journey.
