Update: Why Leave the cities?
To be self sufficient. Not be dependant on the government to provide things for you.
If you haven’t read the news recently, especially if you do not get alternative news, you may not know about all that is going on.
There are global talks of global food shortages, and the CBC NEWS said by the end of this year it could be catestrophic. The US is already experiencing food rations on rice bought from major stores. An American told me today that the Walmart near his house said that they will be out of certain products in the next three months becuse their suppliers in China are having strikes. If you have read Country Living you know that Mrs. White said that there will be trade unions will help bring trouble on the earth.(see quote below)
The quality of food and water is becoming increasingly unsafe. GMO (genetically modified foods) are every where now. Sometimes easily identified by the label “seedless” or “do not refrigerate”. Also please look for information on Bill C-51. It just passed the first reading in Canada Parliament; it is a change to our foods that will out law 70% of our natural foods, as well as quite a few other things.
I do not have to tell you about gas, as the cost of gas goes up so does your electric and heating bill. And of course anything that is imported. Remember that in Canada we do not grow Mangos. So if you like my husband like mangos, they will be more expensive or of lesser quality. Any food or product that is not made in Canada, or even local to your home will increase in price as crude oil increases in price. We never think about much but most everything has oil in it. All plastic, paints and wood products nowadays. There is little in your house not that oil is not needed in the production of. Unless you become more independent.
All this is not to scare you but it is to teach us that we must learn from the Bible and God as what to do in such perilous times.
Lamentations is a book in the Bible. It is about what the title suggests; a passionate expression of grief, sorrow or regret; mourning. It is a book that I have found very encouraging especially the third chapter. Lamentaitons who was written by Jeremiah should be encouraging to any Christian. Jeremiah is called by God to warn and admonish His people, and they are so far from God that they try to kill Jeremiah, attempting to boil him in oil. God comes through for Jeremiah. Assuring him from the beginning he must do what the Lord is instructing him and worry about no one else.
In chapter 5, Jeremiah is praying a prayer of pity to God. In the 4 verse he prays about their bad state. “WE have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us.” What is Jeremiah says? Our heat and water, two basic needs, must be bought from someone else. You might say so is ours, so what? Jeremiah is showing us that this is not how God would intend it. God does not want us to (verse 5) have our necks under persecution, to labour and have no rest. When you have to pay for the neccesities of life. You always have to work for money. If you do nt work for money you have to depend on someone (like the government) to give you money.
For those of you who know that something catastrophic is just around the corner. It is vital that we are not depending on anyone for shelter, heat, water, and food. We can provide these things for ourselves, with God’s help. Even now it is easier that in Jeremiah’s time. For those who know nothing of the times to come. Email me. Know that it is at least safer and common sense by a needs and economic standpoint to provide these things yourself. Do not depend on the government to do things for you. The government is made up of people. If disaster strikes they will be in the same position as you. We must put ourselves in a position to be able to give and help others not to need help. There are so many people who are blind or deaf sick or disabled in some way to help. That all us who have tow hands, legs, feet, eyes, ears, etc should be in a better position.
Again, it is not as difficult as you may think. Check out our links page under “Multi- Resource Ministries”
Quote from Country Living.
Labor Trouble Ahead
The trades unions will be one of the agencies that will bring upon this earth a time of trouble such as has not been since the world began.–Letter 200, 1903. {CL 10.2}
Conflicts Between Trade Confederacies and Labor Unions
The work of the people of God is to prepare for the events of the future, which will soon come upon them with blinding force. In the world gigantic monopolies will be formed. Men will bind themselves together in unions that will wrap them in the folds of the enemy. A few men will combine to grasp all the means to be obtained in certain lines of business. Trades unions will be formed, and those who refuse to join these unions will be marked men.–Letter 26, 1903. {CL 10.3}
If you are interested in how to prepare for the time shortly ahead you can order a copy of Country Living. We want to provide these to people free of charge. This small booklet is written for Christians who want to understand God’s will for living.
