5 Ways to Eat Less and Still Feel Full
I am asked if how I eat is doable? Can you really be a vegetarian, loss weight and feel full?
The answer is YES! of course or I wouldn’t be able to do it.
So how do I do it. Plus three foods that keep you full. (at the end)
- Use smaller plates
- Eat raw foods
- Plan meals
- Eat Breakfast
- Reduce condiments
When you use smaller plates (not minuture, just not huge) fill the plate, enjoy the food and naturally eat less without feeling deprived. Eating like this assures you keep moderate portion sizes and never over do it. No one needs two or three plates of food, especially if you are following number 2.
The more raw food I eat the less food in total I eat. That is becasue you reqire less food when it is higher nutrient food. When I eat fast food I am always hungry in less than an hour. My poor body is searching for the nutirents it needs. The food tricked my body to think it had these nutirent becasue it is full of sugar and protein. This is how MSG works. By providog the body isolated protein the body thinks it is get a high protein food. But it has not eal nutireints leaving you hungry and looking for more.
When I plan my meals, I am calm and eat on time more easily. But hwen I am rushing around trying to figure out what to eat, I end up using energy, eating later than planned and stuffing my face because I am so hungry. I find I have the most trouble when I put off meals. My blood sugar gets low and I turn crazy lady all I want it to get something in my mouth, I go back for more.
Skipping breakfast is not only the key to weight GAIN but to irregular blood sugars, snacking, cravings and overeating. allowing your body to go into starvation mode is a horrible way to treat it. Remember number 2. Just give it good food, it will love you back. I promise.
Eating condiments full of spices and vinegar is a sure fire way for me to over eat at a meal. YOu see these irritants to the stomach and nerves work to stimulate it, which we often interpret as a craving or liking. Condiments, spices and vinegar cause us to crave libation, because water is unable to quench the irritated stomach and delicate linings, so we drink and eat and eat more. Sounds crazy I know, but it like bars serving free salted nuts, the salt makes people thirsty so they drink more.
These three foods will keep you fuller longer.
Eat whole grains – eating refined grains is like eating MSG. It is tricking your body to think there is more fibre and nutrients than there is. Remember it takes up to 10 pieces of white bread to equal one peice of whole wheat. But those pieces of refined carbohydrates provides you with 10 times the sugar as the whole wheat bread. Which if you are not using through activity is stored as fat. Plus don’t get tricked by this bread that looks white but is fortified unless you want to eat metals and rocks. If you have sensitivities try grains other than wheat, eat organic and try sprouted grain breads.
Eat nuts – remember not friend salted nuts like in bars, but raw nits they have protein, nutrients, essential oils and lots of fibre. Fibre is perfect for feeling satiated. Try walnuts which are great for the brain.
Eat greens – Greens are super for nutrients and vitamins, but they have very few if any calories so eating them is a great way to provide your body with the best foods. The more you eat the better. This is number 1 for diet weight loss food, brain food and detox food. Try fresh herbs, spinach, lettuce, and kales.
